Medieval Art could seem like a risky business, bordering on the meaningless.
But Nicolae, producer of
Medieval Art, a sort of knight errant, tries to find his place outside of today’s usual patterns. He has tried many things in his life, and life, in turn, has tried him many times. This time he made a bet with Time that he thinks he can win, giving new life to the art of medieval weaponry, artfully executed to inspire not an interest in violence but reverence for forgotten values.
Medieval Art wishes to recover through images and artifacts an old Romanian tradition of the medieval craft of manufacturing weaponry, which evokes the greatness and nobility of the old cavalry and knighthood.
All products are manufactured in the
Medieval Art workshops, hand-made using an old method of molding and treating the metal with the aim of getting it hard yet elastic, two necessary attributes for a functional weapon.
These handmade replicas of fearsome weaponry, as well as shields and flags adorned with colorful and noble heraldic signs, remind us of courage, honor and the spirit of selfless sacrifice, all qualities waiting to be rediscovered.
